Welcome to my Blog~

I am keen to have ART in my life and enjoy all fundamentals of ART, the creative & social side of it.
Finding out the how's and what's of ART is so intruging to me.
Mixed media is my first love, collage, glueing, sticking ~ bringing the creation to life. Having Fun with Art :)
Then sketching, drawing & doodling ~ especially in the phone book:) Husband hates that.
I have enjoyed different concepts of Art from Book Making to Mosaics, Painting and sketching.
Just being creative leaves you with a wonderful feeling.

"Creative Weekend" :)

This is the Mixed Media piece I did at Sarah Larsen's Workshop.
I was keen to add Pthalo Blue to Permanent Brown Madder. Plus gesso & binder.
Keen to attack it again tomorrow....Any comments welcome.

Having Fun with an old piece from another workshop 2005
- Subject "Mt Scoria."
The front tree, I want people to feel like they can feel the tree right up in front of them.
Let's see how I go ...........

Maria Catalina Wiley said...: Hey! I like what you've done to the red piece, Kym. It's so interesting! Perhaps bring out a few highligted bits in red again . . . but I really like the blue too :-)

I think generally to bring out things in the foreground you make them more detailed & a brighter colour, the background make less detailed & in blue/grey tones (kind of hazy).
