Welcome to my Blog~

I am keen to have ART in my life and enjoy all fundamentals of ART, the creative & social side of it.
Finding out the how's and what's of ART is so intruging to me.
Mixed media is my first love, collage, glueing, sticking ~ bringing the creation to life. Having Fun with Art :)
Then sketching, drawing & doodling ~ especially in the phone book:) Husband hates that.
I have enjoyed different concepts of Art from Book Making to Mosaics, Painting and sketching.
Just being creative leaves you with a wonderful feeling.

Simms Update - Bald is Beautiful :)

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all well.

Today we attended the Pink Ribbon Breakfast in the park, a fund raiser for Breast cancer.
My sister-law Wendy volunteered to have her head shaved and sister in-law Anne was at the end of the clippers.
Both are now sporting the same hair do :)  Not sure how much was raised on the day but it was very well attended.
Really good morning.  Below are links to the my blog with the email sent round by Gary Latcham & the Local Paper -CT article on Friday.

Got more photo's but this few say it all for the love of your sister :) Bald is Beautiful :)

Love

PINK RIBBON BREAKFAST in Biloela

Wendy Simms (Sitting) & Anne Simms Wilson (Standing) are my husband Greg- sisters.
Consider supporting this great fundraiser for Breast Cancer & Support families & friends through this life experience.
Information from Gary Latcham in Biloela.
I know, you all know it is on again, but this is a reminder plus there is more information. Activate Mind & Body will be joining to share information on living a healthy lifestyle. They will be organising a walk before breakfast, starting at 7.00am and they are helping supply some of the food for the breakfast.

Wendy Simms (the photo) is having her head shaved by her sister Annie Wilson. Annie is surviving breast cancer which makes it all very personal. To help support Wendy before the weekend, call in and see her at the Biloela Optical.
She would love to see you, plus you can help at the breakfast. So bring your family and your friends to make this Annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast a huge event. There will be heaps of activities for the kids and some great prizes will be won, plus a huge, cooked healthy breakfast. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Melton Park, now that it has rained, with your friends and family.

Last year, thanks to your generous support and the support of the volunteers, over $11,000 was raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, so come along and with your help, lets see if we can all do the same, if not better.

The raffles will be drawn throughout the morning.

Date: Sunday 24th October 2010
Time: 7:30
Venue: Melton Park, Grevillea Street Biloela
Cost: $5 per person or $10 per family of Four
Phone: 07 4990 1088
We also have a fully signed and framed 2008 Brisbane Broncos Centennial Jersey which will be auctioned on the day. The committee looks forward to seeing you there!
The prospect of losing 5 of the 6 most important people in my life was too much to bear. Five you ask? My wife, my lover, my best friend, my hero and my daughter's mother. Mark Wood
Please pass this email along to your own addresses to make this the biggest breakfast yet.Thank you

Persistence

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will;
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill;
When the funds are low, and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but have to sigh;
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but do not quit.
Success is failure turned inside out;
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt;
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things go wrong that you must not quit."
